Reliable adhesion without other materials: No easy task for a composite. Typically, this requires special bonding molecules, like those in Constic. Based on successful bonding systems, molecules were developed that can etch enamel and dentin, bond with them like a glass ionomer, and also co-polymerize with the composite. In order to make bonding easier for the molecules, it helps to massage in Constic thoroughly.
